Dearest Dems,
I'm really excited to see all y'all at our cookout this week! Please keep reading for a few other campaign activities we have going on.
Welcome Summer Cookout
We will hold a welcome summer cookout Wednesday, May 5 at 1021 St. Charles Ave in lieu of our regular meeting. We'll have veggie and hamburgers in addition to a few sides. Just give whatever you can to cover the costs of the cookout. Any leftover funds will ultimately go to Tom. Please respond to this e-mail to RSVP so we know how much food to get.
Phone Bank for Tom!
There will be a phone bank on Thursday this week from 6 to 8 p.m. Let me know if you'd like to join. It's really important that we start to step up our efforts for Tom. He really needs us out there talking to voters! Just e-mail margaret.e.thornton@gmail.com if you'd like to come along!
Canvassing
Work on your tan and enjoy the beautiful weather by knocking doors for Tom this Saturday. Canvass shifts start at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. Come by 2250 Old Ivy Road to get packets. E-mail margaret.e.thornton@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like a ride.
That's it for this week. See y'all tomorrow!
Democratically yours,
Maggie

Hey Guys--
ReplyDeleteI found out that this Sunday (October 16, 4-6 PM), Cynthia Neff is holding an event at Hollymead and Forest Lakes North/South. It will be at the Forest Lakes Pavilion (next to the clubhouse at the Forest Lakes north pool). Stick Kebob Shop is catering. Topics to be discussed include the Western Bypass, lake sedimentation, public education and whatever else you want to raise as an issue in this upcoming election. Thought your readership would want to attend. RSVP to cynthia@cynthianeff.org so they know how many people to expect.
